The Center on Executive Compensation, responding to a policy survey from ISS Governance Services (ISS) of RiskMetrics Group, suggested improvements. The Center recommended that ISS: (i) revise its peer group determination process to reflect company size, not merely industry codes; (ii) make its voting policies more flexible to holistically evaluate a company's pay plan; (iii) implement quality controls so policies are applied consistently; and (iv) re-examine its support for say on pay. The Center was created by the HR Policy Association to serve as an employer voice on executive pay practices. (Select News, 15 Aug 2008)
